What a week!
With more than a hundred countries around the world celebrating Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), Canada kicked off the movement with a bang.
I was honoured to visit Parliament Hill, along with CYBF entrepreneurs, mentors and Community Partners to officially launch GEW Canada together with the Honourable Rob Moore, Secretary of State and Minister of Small Business and Tourism. Minister Moore led a roundtable discussion addressing the issues surrounding young entrepreneurs and later announced the start of GEW Canada at a media conference. It was an incredible experience, and a great way to launch this inspirational movement.
From galas to business plan competitions to contests to open houses, in communities from coast to coast, Canadians celebrated the achievements of entrepreneurs and championed a culture of entrepreneurship across the country.
While GEW Canada may officially be over for another year, the fun doesn’t need to end. Let’s keep the momentum going, and celebrate entrepreneurship 52 weeks a year!
Until next time,
Vivian
