Environmental awareness is a hot topic these days, with people everywhere trying to find green products. The search for eco-friendly homes, school and office supplies was one that Amber Shaw of Vancouver’s EcoConvenience Retail Company was much too familiar with. Committed to the green lifestyle, Amber and her partner first came up with the idea of creating an online environmentally friendly convenience store when they were searching for green school supplies for their daughter.
With products scattered among various locations and distributors, Amber realized a pent-up demand for a centralized website dedicated to eco-friendly products. In early 2010, Amber launched EcoConvience Retail Company – an e-commerce site that provides environmentally friendly products, through eco-friendly means.
“I love being able to represent and offer so many wonderful thoughtful products, made by other very caring, eco-friendly small businesses,” says Amber. “I can manage my business in and around raising small children, which is an incredible benefit to me as a mom. This business is my best option for actualizing my skills, raising a family and contributing to creating a network of positive change in our world.”?
