Chocolate and entrepreneurship go together even better than chocolate and peanut butter – Josée Vigneault and Jean-René Lemire of Québec City’s Vigneault Chocolatier Ltée prove it.

Josée Vigneault and Jean-René Lemire of Vigneault Chocolatier Lté

The husband and wife each come from a long line of entrepreneurs, so going into business for themselves was almost a given. Combine that with a love for good chocolate and a belief that there needs to be a balance between the quality of a product and the harmony in which it is developed and you get Vigneault Chocolatier Ltée and its award-winning Theobroma line. (It’s hard to beat organic chocolate loaded with chunks of real fruit!)

With the Theobroma line now sold throughout Canada and the US, Jean-René and Josee are enjoying the sweet life of entrepreneurship.

“Being entrepreneurs has allowed us to combine our personal and professional lives,” says Jean-René. “It’s helped us find our true selves as we accomplish our goals without sacrificing our passion and core values.”

The two will be making an appearance in Toronto this June at the G20 Young Entrepreneur Summit.  Both Josée and Jean-René are members of the Canadian delegation, and Jean-René will also be taking part as a panelist.

Both Josée and Jean-René are dedicated to the environment and sustainable development, making the production and use of recyclable and renewable materials a priority for Vigneault Chocolatier Ltée.
