Every year CYBF helps to start hundreds of businesses; hundreds of young entrepreneurs looking to launch their new career that they are passionate about. Without the generous support of the Canadian government, CYBF would be unable to help launch these new businesses that are driving the Canadian economy.
Today’s Federal budget demonstrates Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s continued commitment to CYBF and to young entrepreneurs across Canada, with their federal budget announcement. CYBF will use this funding of $20 million over two years to support over 1000 new businesses.
CYBF not only helps launch new businesses, but guides them on their route to success with their hand-matched CYBF mentor. CYBF is and will continue to be a driving force for developing a culture of entrepreneurship in Canada; by launching new businesses and provide mentorship, by championing the Government of Canada to designate 2011 as Year of the Entrepreneur with CFIB and celebrate it nationally, and to being the Canadian host of Global Entrepreneurship Week Canada. CYBF will also work tirelessly to position Canada as a model for other countries around the world on how to create a more entrepreneurial society. Thank you again to the Government of Canada so that we are able to run our programs across Canada from coast to coast to coast.
