The Canadian Youth Business Foundation has selected 30 dynamic young Canadian entrepreneurs to form the official Canadian delegation at the G20 Young Entrepreneur Summit (G20 YES) in Nice, France on October 31-November 2, 2011. The G20 YES is an annual international summit that brings together dedicated and influential entrepreneurs of the G20 countries. Martin Thibault is a Canadian delegate.
Why I became an entrepreneur:
Becoming an entrepreneur was a childhood dream for me. Then, in 1999, I was working for a company and a few colleagues and I saw a great opportunity to develop our own business in a complimentary sector. We decided to start our spin-off shortly after. It was my third business plan, but this was the good one!
My best moment as an entrepreneur, my success:
Every day, I watch what I build grow into something even bigger and I consider that a great accomplishment. I’m also fortunate to be in a position today to get involved in my regional, provincial and national communities and that makes me very proud.
My next challenge:
We are currently looking to acquire a complementary company working in our industry. As well, we are considering expanding our business outside of Canada.
