Joe Facciolo and Skai Dalziel have done what many of us only dream of doing – mixed business with pleasure.
The two foodies were well aware of the abundance of fantastic restaurants in and around Whistler B.C., the two long-time friends, classmates and travel buddies, relocated to the area and launched Whistler Tasting Tours, providing visitors the opportunity to sample the tantalizing fine cuisine alongside the region’s famous B.C. wines.
In recent years, the company has taken off, receiving rave reviews from the National Post, The Globe and Mail, and even The New York Times and NBC. The duo credit their mentor, Steve Sabey with helping them achieve such success, while keeping a close eye on the bigger picture.
“Steve has taught us the difference between strategic and tactical thinking,” explains Joe. “The goal of a true entrepreneur is not to create a job for yourself – but to create a sustainable business. Strategic planning helps to create that business and set oneself up for even greater success.”
