We’re proud to see great initiatives that are being born through some of our entrepreneurs! With Canada having some of the highest rates of youth under-employment of all of the OECD countries, opportunity to make a positive difference needed to be hatched.

Driven by a CYBF Entrepreneur, Lauren Friese, with her company TalentEgg, they have launched Student Voice, a campaign to fight Gen-Y underemployment. Over the next three months, they’ve creating a platform for students and recent grads across Canada to share their stories about the school-to-work transition, both good and bad.

The forum will be shared with employers, government and other change-makers with the goal of giving students a voice in the school-to-work transition. TalentEgg will be leading the charge in bringing to light some of the challenges and benefits in this transition to make a difference for Canadian youth.
