Today, young Canadian entrepreneurs from British Columbia to Nova Scotia are preparing to depart for Nice, France where they will form the official Canadian delegation at the G20 Young Entrepreneur Summit (G20 YES).
Thirty-one dynamic young entrepreneurs selected by the Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF) will be working alongside delegates from the other G20 countries to identify ways that government and business communities can best harness the potential of young entrepreneurs.
Additionally, the strength of Canada’s entrepreneurial ecosystem was recently identified in a recent research study conducted by McKinsey & Company and echoed this week in another report, “Entrepreneurs Speak Out: A call to action for G20 governments” a barometer that examines entrepreneurship across the G20 economies and issued by Ernst & Young. Both studies applaud Canada’s efficiency and encouragement of an entrepreneurial culture.
CYBF hosted the inaugural G20 YES in June 2010, where the primary outcome was the formation of the G20 YEA, an international network of like-minded organizations supporting youth entrepreneurship.
