So you’re starting a business…congratulations! Are you selling a product, service or both? Either way, you have probably already done your research and checked to see if there’s a market for your product or service. You’ve also probably researched your competition, figured out your start-up costs and created a business plan.
If you’re reading this and shaking your head “no,” then you may have a bit more work to do before you turn on your “open for business” sign. Taking baby steps is essential to creating success around your business idea.
A great resource to help you in this business journey is a book called Giving Birth to a Baby Business by David T. Day. From conception to delivery, this book provides a step-by-step guide to starting your own business. It will help you to identify the experience and skills you have that are transferable, as well as teach you to create an actual business plan, and so much more.
