We are pleased to share some news with you about an exciting new initiative to support entrepreneurship in the skilled trades in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Available to people who have recently completed or are currently in a skilled trades educational or apprenticeship program, Entrepreneurship in the Skilled Trades provides valuable entrepreneurship skills, tools and information.
Program participants can take part in a free workshop being delivered across Saskatchewan and Manitoba as part of this initiative. They will learn how to thrive in their industry and also explore how to pursue their passion and start their own business. Through this program, they will develop an entrepreneurial way of thinking that can be applied to both starting a business and becoming a better employee. Topics include effective business planning, financing, hiring employees and marketing. In addition, they may be eligible for up to $45,000 in financing and one-on-one expert business mentoring to help launch their business.
