Championing Entrepreneurship, Content Type, Events, Contests & Activities | November 18, 2014
Roman Celac, GEW Campus Ambassador, Dawson College
Dawson College is situated in the heart of Montréal’s downtown core, at the Atwater metro station and is Québec’s largest CEGEP with roughly 8,250 full-time day students, 2,400 continuing education students and 600 faculty. The college currently offers over 30 programs in 50+ fields of study, including a variety of programs in the creative sector. Dawson College is ideally placed to be a gathering place of high-profile community events and has become the go-to place for Global Entrepreneurship Week in Montréal.
Our goal, for E-Week, November 17-20, 2014, is to bring together students, entrepreneurs and the business community for a week of unforgettable events.
This year we present a diverse lineup of high profile guest speakers (patent agents, wild and crazy entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, social entrepreneurs, women entrepreneurs, educators, and creatives), networking events (Speed-date an Entrepreneur, Meet-up of Meet ups), contests (Dawson’s Den) and activities that inspire Dawson College students and alumni. Students will have a chance to have their first glimpse of a possible career alternative, while others will take the opportunity to build connections with aspiring entrepreneurs or hear inspiring stories of successful photographers, illustrators, designers, music producers and programmers who launched their own businesses over the last few years.
E-week is all about creativity, innovation, resources and networking, the early stages of starting a new enterprise whether a social, artistic or business project. We guarantee that you will be inspired by hearing and meeting people who’ve been through it all speak about their experiences. We invite you to visit our website and to follow us on our Facebook page for more information and contests!
