In December 2019, the ThriveNorth program successfully completed its five-year mandate. Managed by Futurpreneur Canada, the program helped young entrepreneurs in Northern B.C. launch and grow their businesses by connecting them with resources, financing and mentorship.

We want to send a huge thank-you to everyone that made our ThriveNorth launch events in Terrace and Prince Rupert such a success! It was inspiring to see so much interest in empowering Northwestern BC’s young entrepreneurs to start and grow their own businesses.

Thanks to Herb Pond, Community Relations Advisor for BG Group Canada and Deirdre Riley, Social Performance Manager at BG Group Canada for coming to share their ambition towards enhancing the economy and lives within these communities, and also to Julia Deans, CEO of Futurpreneur Canada, for sharing the organization’s passion towards fostering a new generation of entrepreneurs in these areas.

It was encouraging to meet the students at Northwest Community College and members of the business community who joined us to learn more about ThriveNorth. There is tons of new information coming your way from the ThriveNorth team, so make sure you follow us on Facebook and Twitter @ThriveNorthBC and #ThiveNorth for all of the latest updates! Let’s keep the conversation going!
