Could your business use a $100,000 grant and new technology?

TELUS and The Globe and Mail have partnered up to bring you the fourth annual contest created for Canadian small businesses and start-ups.  The Challenge helps take businesses to the next level by helping them overcome their biggest challenge – with a $100,000 business grant from TELUS and a national profile in The Globe and Mail’s Report on Business. This year, there will also be prizing for four semi-finalists and ten regional winners across Canada*.  Winners will be selected by a panel of judges consisting of inspiring Canadian business owners and business experts.

In 2013, TELUS received over 1,000 entries to the contest. In the end, Livestock Water Recycling was awarded $100,000.  With the grant, the company is researching and adopting new sustainable manure treatment technologies for cleaning livestock manure to ultimately expand and improve their current operations.

Canadians and fellow small business owners can join the conversation and follow the contest on Twitter via @TELUSbusiness and @GlobeSmallBiz using the hashtag #smbizchallenge, on LinkedIn and on Facebook.

*Contest excludes residents of Quebec, businesses with 100 or more employees, TELUS employees and family members of TELUS employees.
