What is Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW)?

Every November, we join millions of people around the world to celebrate GEW by hosting events and competitions that support entrepreneurs and inspire people to embrace entrepreneurship. Canadians take to the streets, the stage, the papers and social media to join their voices with others across 160 countries. We believe that entrepreneurs are the innovators, change-makers and community-builders that are changing the world and we want everyone to know it!

How can you get involved?

• Attend a GEW Canada event in your community. See the full list at www.gewcanada.com.
• Host an event to promote and support entrepreneurship and add it to the list by registering as a partner here.
• Get loud on social media using the campaign hashtag #GEWCanada. Sample social media templates and other resources can be found here.
• Follow along with the GEW Canada Ambassadors as they visit entrepreneurs and attend events all week long at www.futurpreneur.ca/blog and https://twitter.com/Futurpreneur.

Daily Themes

We will be celebrating several theme days this year for GEW by focusing national communications on these themes and on corresponding events and announcements. If you are hosting an event, activity, or contest or planning an announcement that aligns with a theme day, please email gewinfo@futurpreneur.ca so that we can shine the spotlight your way!
