As vegans with Italian heritage, Kailey Gilchrist and her mother wanted to enjoy traditional Italian foods, like Fettuccini Alfredo, so they developed vegan versions of the recipes that tasted just as amazing as the original. Then, her mother passed away, and Kailey found herself needing a way to keep their strong connection alive. So, she spent hours perfecting the recipes the two enjoyed cooking while her mother was alive. Kailey’s labour of love turned into a successful business, NONA Vegan, with the help of Futurpreneur Canada.
