Futurpreneur Canada™ appoints Dan Ouimet as Senior Vice President, External Engagement

TORONTO (January 9, 2018) – Futurpreneur Canada, a national non-profit organization that supports aspiring young business owners through resources, financing and mentoring, announced the appointment of Dan Ouimet as Senior Vice President, External Engagement, effective immediately. In this newly-created role, Ouimet will lead the Corporate and Public Affairs team and work closely with the entire Futurpreneur team to build the organization’s corporate, government and individual fundraising, as well as donor and public relations. He will also manage the operations of the Foundation for an Entrepreneurial Canada, a charitable foundation created by Futurpreneur.

Prior to joining Futurpreneur, Ouimet most recently served as the Chief of Staff for Ontario’s  Minister of Research, Innovation and Science, where he led the Minister’s team in achieving the Minister’s and the government’s priorities. Ouimet’s professional public affairs experience includes more than 20 years in both senior corporate affairs and government roles, directly advising senior federal and provincial cabinet ministers and senior corporate leaders.
