A Statement from the Hon. Geoff MacLellan, MLA, Nova Scotia’s Minister of Small Business

We are pleased to share the following words of support for GEW from the Hon. Geoff MacLellan, MLA, Nova Scotia’s Minister  of Small Business:

Entrepreneurs are the backbone of our economy. They drive innovation, create jobs and foster economic growth.

On behalf of the Government of Nova Scotia and all Nova Scotians, it is my pleasure to help celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week 2017.

Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is the world’s largest celebration of entrepreneurialism. Every November, people of all backgrounds and circumstances come together to explore entrepreneurship and advance entrepreneurial projects. GEW is more than just an awareness campaign. It is a platform for connection and collaboration – engaging all players and creating a stronger ecosystem here in Nova Scotia and in other communities around the world.

I also want to congratulate Futurpreneur Canada on serving as the official Canadian host of GEW. Futurpreneur is a wonderful organization that’s helping young people across Canada launch businesses. Futurpreneur has already helped 500 young people in Atlantic Canada start their own ventures through financing, coaching and mentorship.

Best wishes for a productive Global Entrepreneurship Week.
