CYBF Encourages Young Entrepreneurs In Ontario to Live Their Dream With New Digital Campaign
Toronto, ON- October 28, 2013 – Today the Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF) is pleased to introduce a new digital campaign aimed at encouraging 25-34 year olds in Ontario to live their dream of starting their own business, by applying to CYBF to help make it a reality.
Last month, CYBF started a job search campaign for the position: entrepreneur. Unique job titles like, “Are You A Big Dreamer?” and “Mentor Seeking Mentee” were posted online with the purpose of finding individuals who possess the entrepreneurial spirit and profile.
Many aspiring entrepreneurs answered CYBF’s call to share their stories of what motivated them start their own business. So, we decided to capture it on video and share it! The result is an inspiring video of 8 dreamers ranging from a cake-maker, to a real estate agent to a social worker telling the story of how they took the first step in living their dreams.
The Live Your Dream video is now live on cybf.ca/liveyourdream and youtube.com/cybf. The inspiration and conversations are continuing on Twitter, with young entrepreneurs encouraged to share their story with the hashtag #CYBFliveyourdream.
There are many more young entrepreneurs out there in Ontario just waiting for the right mentor and resources to finally start living their dream. CYBF offers them the opportunity to receive financing, resources and the support of a volunteer mentor for the first two years of their business start-up.
Individuals interested in living their dream of starting their own business, are invited to visit cybf.ca/liveyourdream, to turn their dream into reality with the help of CYBF. To get started individuals are asked to explain, in 140 characters or less why they want to start their own business or more specifically to share their new business idea. From there one person will be chosen to receive the ultimate start-up package that would include over $20,000 in services including 100 hours to work with an agency to help get their idea off the ground.
Applications open today and will offer qualified aspiring entrepreneurs the opportunity to kick-start their innovative start-up business invited to apply online before December 13, 2013 at www.cybf.ca/liveyourdream.
