CYBF Launches Call for Delegates to Join the G20 Young Entrepreneur Summit in Nice, France!

Toronto, ON – June 1, 2011 – Today the Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF) announced a call for dedicated and enthusiastic young entrepreneurs to join the official Canadian delegation at the G20 Young Entrepreneur Summit (YES) in France this fall.

CYBF is looking for dynamic entrepreneurs between the ages 18-45, willing to represent Canada on the world stage. An opportunity for Canada’s brightest and most active young entrepreneurs to exchange ideas and experiences with other entrepreneurs from around the world, the G20 YES will provide valuable input to government leaders on ways to help encourage small businesses. Delegates will also have the opportunity to expand their networks to include some of the world’s most influential faces in entrepreneurship.

Taking place October 31 to November 2, 2011, in Nice, France, the G20 YES is hosted by Les Journées de L’Entrepreneur. CYBF is accepting applications online until Monday July 5, 2011 and up to 20 young entrepreneurs will be invited to attend. Delegates will be provided with registration at the summit and related special events, meals and ground transportation. Airfare and accommodation costs in France will be covered by the delegates.

“Canada is truly at forefront in recognizing the impact that entrepreneurs have on the global economy. As job creators and innovators, Canada’s youth have an extraordinary opportunity through the G20 YES to incite global change,” explains Vivian Prokop, chief executive officer of the Canadian Youth Business Foundation. “As we learned hosting the inaugural 2010 Summit, the G20 YES provides the opportunity to help young entrepreneurs gain from the experience of others and contribute to development of public policies and the cultivation of the next generation of business leaders.”

CYBF hosted the inaugural G20 YES in Toronto in June 2010, inviting 200 young entrepreneurs and the organizations that represent them from the G20 countries to participate in the development of a communiqué delivered to the G20 Leaders. The Summit also resulted in the creation of the G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance, an international network of likeminded organizations supporting youth entrepreneurship.
