Futurpreneur Canada™ announces departure of Regional Director Joelle Foster
For immediate release
TORONTO (January 31, 2018) – Futurpreneur Canada announces that Joelle Foster will leave her position as Director for Manitoba, Alberta, Saskatchewan and the North on February 23, 2018. Foster joined Futurpreneur in 2010 to establish and grow the organization’s Manitoba presence. Foster’s region expanded to include Saskatchewan, Northwest Territories, Nunavut and, in the past year, Alberta. She has supported the launch of over 450 new youth-led businesses in this region.
“Joelle has always been highly passionate and committed to young entrepreneurs in her region and considers the community she’s helped to build like family,” said Julia Deans, CEO of Futurpreneur. “All of the entrepreneurs, mentors, staff and partners Joelle has worked with are very grateful for the unique and valuable contribution Joelle has made to Canada’s entrepreneurial landscape.”
“Working everyday with young entrepreneurs has been truly inspiring,” commented Joelle Foster, Director for Manitoba, Alberta, Saskatchewan and the North. “I am thankful for the amazing opportunities afforded to me through my role at Futurpreneur. This organization is and will continue to make a difference in the lives of young people. I look forward to continuing to work closely with the vibrant entrepreneurial community in Canada.”
Foster has recently accepted a role with the University of Calgary as the Executive Director of the Hunter Hub for Entrepreneurial Thinking. Futurpreneur wishes Foster every success and looks forward to collaborating with her in her new endeavor. A search for a successor to Foster is underway.
