Turn a great idea into a thriving business.
After losing her job during the COVID-19 pandemic, Jill Barber knew it was time to follow her lifelong dream of opening her own bakery. With support from Futurpreneur, Barbershop Patisserie opened its doors in Toronto in 2020.
“I just really wanted to have a space where I could get food out for people,” she says. “The bakery is very close to my heart and a true representation of everything I want to eat and take comfort in.”
We’ve supported thousands of small business owners like Jill, working with diverse entrepreneurs aged 18-39 to launch successful main street businesses that contribute to the vitality of communities across Canada.
